October Photo Hunt!!

Self portrait - I felt silly taking these pictures because I so often shake my head at the kids these days (and grown-ups) that are forever posting their own self portraits on Facebook. But I guess its not so bad... It only took about 30 of them!
In Disguise - This is my last "First" cousin Connor from my archives, but only from September. It was just too perfect!
Something Golden - the quilt that my Mother-in-law made for my husband and I, for our wedding gift. It is truly a treasure.
Bokeh - It pretty well speaks for itself. I often get this effect with my portrait lens, now I know what its actually called!
Something Creepy - This was taken Halloween night at a local house that goes all out. I like to think of it as "The old gents club".
A Shot from the Ground - My original plan to was to get a picture of crispy fall leaves, but, I had almost forgotten I needed a picture from the ground!
Selective Coloring - this is one of my archive pictures. I just loved Avari's shoes!
A Landscape - this was taken early one morning on my way home from my childhood home. It is a great picture of what Alberta is made of - agriculture and oil!
A Jack-o-Lantern. Made it myself!
From the kitchen. Getting ready to make apple pies.
Fall Colors.
Faces in Nature. I really stewed and worried about this category for a long time. Then one day my daughter was given a box of toys from a friend. She emptied it out and threw it on the floor and this is what I noticed.
Dining. Every Sunday morning that my husband is not away working, we go over to his mom and dad's for pancake breakfast. My mother in law makes the best pancakes!
Crisp. And yummy.
Children - This is Ryder and we had so much fun on our fall photo shoot. I couldn't stop giggling at his little teeth when he smiled.
Books - These 'books', my scrapbooks, I have poured my heart and soul into.

Best picture from October 23rd. This is where I live.
Tilt-Shift Photography - Now this one I had a hard time with, but I think this works??
Something Vintage - my daughter got this toy horse from her Great Grandpa, who is a well known collector. I think he picked it up at a garage sale for her, but she is so proud of anything from Grandpa Stan!
A tradition - Every year, Canadian geese fly south for the winter. I've never seen so many geese here before, so I am pretty sure most of them had already started migrating and were just taking a break.
