Day 34 - Young love. This was just one of my favorite shots from my couples shoot this week. I am loving these Florabella Luxe Actions as well! This was shot in Av F5.6, ISO 400, no flash, touched up with Allure action.
Day 35 - Shot in Program Mode, ISO 400. Touched up with Florabella Spring Haze, soft urban action.
Day 36 - Toys, toys, everywhere! Shot in Av, f1.8, ISO 400, with flash.
Day 37 - Bailey's sign that I sometimes wish was mine! Shot in Program mode, ISO 400.

Its been a very busy week, and I am right smack in the middle of it. The busy-ness will not be gone for awhile but I thought I'd better get caught up!

Days 30-33

Day 30 - Shot in Aperture Priority with an F-5.6
Day 31 - Group Photo Shot in Av F-7.1 I didn't actually take the picture, but I set it all up with my camera on the tripod and then realized I had no idea how to work the timer and wasted 5 minutes trying to figure it out before an unsuspecting neighbor got asked to help us out!
Day 32 - Shot in Av, F5.6, ISO 800 with no flash. Loved the light in the woods.
Day 33 - Shot in Av F5.0, ISO 200. Touched up with Florabella Allure from the new Luxe Actions.

Another set of crazy days is going by. I'm off to do a couples session in half an hour, and then have a party at my house to get ready for tomorrow evening. So glad I got this done now!!

A Day at the Fair

Day 29 - After working a day in dialysis today, I picked up Linneah from the sitters and took her to Westerner Days to meet Bailey. We also met up with Wen, Tammy, Riley, Cameron and Colby. Linneah and Colby had a lots of fun riding on rides together. I took these shots and touched them up with Flora Bella Actions Milk and Honey (which is my favorite right now...) on my Rebel XS. Some of them were in Shutter Priority which is a big deal for me to venture away from Av. Now I am exhausted and going to bed!

Days 27 and 28

Day 27 - Who says you can ever be too old to color with crayons? I went and got some coloring books for my daughter and my niece and nephew that were visiting at my parent's house. The teenage girls and even my brother and his girlfriend spent more time coloring than the little kids did!! I shot this with my D50 in Aperture Priority with F5.6 and ISO 800 as it was indoors in the late evening.
Day 28 - I took my mom out to her backyard and took a few shots. I don't know if this is her favorite, but it is mine! I shot this with my D50, in aperture priority with F5.6 and ISO 100. It was supposed to be cold and rainy today but it turned out to be quite nice!

ShutterLove Tuesday Entry!

Ok this week's theme is faces! And while I have tons of pictures of faces, this is one of my most recent and favorites of my little Linneah, catching rain on her tongue.

Days 23 - 26

Boy I need to figure out the right way to do this, or maybe I should post everyday like I'm supposed to! This post is not letting me do what I want, but rather than start over, I am just letting it be...
Day 23 - Shot with a Nikon Coolpix.

Day 24 - Took Linneah out for a photoshoot in the rain! Was lots of fun until she decided to run away and I was left with two umbrellas, a camera, and one hand to get her home...

Day 25 - Baked a cake for my little brother's birthday.
Day 26 - I love it when there are rabbits in the area. This one was in our backyard in the shade. I tried to get closer but of course it escaped!

Lovely Lilies

Day 22 - shot in macro, edited with Soft Urban from Flora Bella!
I have not stepped foot into my backyard for DAYS. I am not kidding. Tonight after being out and about for over 12 hours and spending 5 glorious minutes laying on the couch, something possessed me to go outside in my backyard. Maybe it was this challenge, but I think probably not. But I am so glad I did!! All of the sudden I have beautiful lilies blooming.. and there are more to come. I may complain about the rain, but look what beautiful things the rain brings! The second shot is my first ever picture taken totally MANUAL! This is a big thing for me, as I am scared of manual for some reason... And the third was shot in Macro and I saturated the color, added a glow, and darkened the shadows a bit.

Rain, rain, go away...

Day 21
So today my oldest daughter is feeling sad and house bound. Poor kid. Who wants to be stuck in a house all day in the summer?? So today's picture is a reflection of her mood. The second picture is what happens when she is bored! Teehee.

ShutterLove Tuesday Entry!

Does by the spray park fit in with By the pool? I think so! This is a shot I snapped of my nephew last week at the spray park in Fort Saskatchewan.

Time to go Outside?

Day 20 (F5.0)
Day 20 (F14.0)
Day 19
Boy, you'd never think of going outside by the way it looks out there right now! Good thing I got out when I did... So I tried a couple of things in the last couple of days.. One of those things was trying to capture birds, and the other was playing a bit more with Aperture. For the most part I shoot in Av all the time. I usually use the lowest setting possible for two reasons. 1) It makes the shutter speed quick and 2) I like the look of the blurrier background, most of the time. So, I will post both ends of the scale and you guys can let me know what you think!

Playing Catch Up!

Day 18
Day 17
Day 16

Day 15Day 14
Okay, its been a busy week for me. Emotional, stressful, but also packed with love and some fun too. I spent most of the week at my sisters in Sherwood Park, had a great day with a dear friend, and another day with my sister and some of her friends that I have now adopted as my friends as well. And as a result I am able to catch up on the Challenge.

Day 13
So today has been a difficult day to find inspiration... It is dark and dreary and rainy outside, and I have been thinking of my best friend and her family all day long. So, I decided I am going to post my favorite shot from the family pictures I did for them in April. It was Myron and June's 40th wedding anniversary.

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Ok so here goes nothing... I've never done anything like this before so please bear with me! I am now on Day 12 of my 365 Challenge, and can proudly say I haven't cheated in a few days. I am really enjoying the challenge so far, and am hoping I don't run out of ideas any time soon!
